Class Environmental Assessments:
Infrastructure projects of significant scope and/ or cost can vary in their environmental impact, and a key element of the planning process in Ontario is the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment. The purpose of the Class EA process is to identify the social, economic and environmental impacts of a proposed project and identify mitigation measures with a view to selecting preferred alternatives with minimize the project footprint.
PEL has been part of project teams including municipal planners, biologists, and traffic engineers in completing the Class EA process for municipal road way, water, and wastewater projects including:
