Pits and Quarries:
On January 1, 2007, the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources expanded designation under the Aggregate Resources Act to include all of Muskoka and Parry Sound Districts among others. Operators of pits and quarries are now required to prepare a Site Plan showing existing features, proposed site operations including sequence and direction of pit development and providing details on progressive and final rehabilitation.
PEL has prepared Site Plans in accordance with the Aggregate Resources Act for the following pits and quarries:
